Bridger @ Afiya Peer Respite (Northampton), up to 15 hours (potential for more if combined with Advocate hours). Join the Afiya team as our new bridger. The bridger will offer support in person and/or by phone to individuals on the wait list to come to Afiya, as well as providing help to identify and get connected with community resources in the weeks right after leaving. Wages will be (based on training experience and/or bilingual fluency), plus mileage reimbursement.

Your own experience living through trauma, psychiatric diagnosis, homelessness, addiction and/or a variety of other life-interrupting challenges required. Understanding and commitment to examining and undoing systemic oppression related to racism, gender, psychiatric diagnosis, etc., also required. A vehicle you are able and willing to use for work is strongly preferred, and required for any bridging hours. Intentional Peer Support, Certified Peer Specialist training and other trainings relevant to peer-to-peer work (Hearing Voices, Alternatives to Suicide, etc.) a plus. Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) a plus.  AA/EOE.
