Development and Public Relations Coordinator – Part-Time 20 hours a week, $17.00 per hour

The Consortium is seeking a team player who is passionate, creative, values-driven, and comfortable working collaboratively with our program and communities to accomplish marketing tasks with a commitment to valuing lived experience. The Development and Public Relations Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively as part of the Development Team to implement strategy for generating and maintaining marketing materials and other public relations content
  • Supporting the integration of Consortium values in both internal and external messaging
  • Building relationships with Consortium-connected programs and communities and working collaboratively to achieve development goals
  • Supporting donor cultivation by tracking database information and ensuring timely and effective donor communication
  • Facilitating online engagement by monitoring/updating Consortium website and social media content to maintain accessibility and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Networking with local media to generate visibility opportunities
  • Generating written content for press releases, editorials, grant applications, etc.
  • Research and catalogue relevant demographic data, fund development opportunities, etc.

Minimum Qualifications are:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, WordPress, Universal Design/ Accessibility, Social Media Platforms, & ability to learn other relevant software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, professional demeanor, tactful and ethical
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in an effective manner

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Fluency in Spanish – bilingual/bicultural Latino
  • Associates, BA or BS degree in marketing or related field
  • 2 years of experience in marketing or related field
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising, CRM/donor management software
