Title Per Diem Advocate at Western Mass RLC

Per Diem Advocate with the Western Mass Recovery Learning Community in Hampden and Hampshire County. We are specifically looking for people who can work per diem (as needed) in one or more of the following settings: RLC resource centers in Hampden County (Holyoke and Springfield); Local hospitals (bridging people hospitalized back to the community in Northampton, Holyoke, and/or Springfield); Apartment building in Springfield for individuals who have been homeless. Facilitate the community through direct peer-to-peer support, partnering to find and access resources, groups, etc.

Required: First-hand experience with psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, extreme states, and/or other life-interrupting challenges; Commitment to undoing racism, sexism, and other systemic oppression; Willingness and ability to be on call for as needed shifts when regular team members are on vacation or out sick.

Preferred: Knowledge of local resources; Knowledge of peer support and related movements. A Plus: Bilingual/bicultural (Spanish/English or ASL/English); Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices, Alternatives to Suicide training, and other related trainings.
