Advocate, 8-15 hours part-time. Based in Hampden County (Springfield/Holyoke) Offer peer-to-peer support, group facilitation, assistance with finding resources, and more. $14 to $15.50 per hour (Pay rate based on bilingual abilities, and trainings completed). Individuals interested in filling in per diem (as needed) hours are also welcomed to apply (pay rate is $13.75 for individuals who work on a strictly per diem basis).

Required: First-hand experience with psychiatric diagnosis (you yourself being given a diagnosis), hospitalization (you yourself being hospitalized), homelessness (you yourself living without a home), problems with substances (you yourself struggling with addiction or problems with substances), and/or other life-interrupting challenges. Commitment to challenging racism, sexism, and other systemic oppression.

Preferred/A Plus: Knowledge of local resources; Knowledge of peer support and related movements. Bilingual/bicultural (bilingual in Spanish/English is required for some of the hours and preferred for others, ASL/English also a plus); Intentional Peer Support, Alternatives to Suicide, Hearing Voices, and/or other peer support trainings.
