Advocate based in Pittsfield area, 8+ hours. Peer support, group facilitation, outreach, and more. We are looking for a very part-time (5 hours to start) Advocate who is interested in partnering with our Community Coordinator in Pittsfield, and willing to learn and potentially grow into more hours as we open our new center.

Required: First-hand experience with psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, extreme states, and/or other life-interrupting challenges (this means YOU yourself have been diagnosed, been hospitalized on a psychiatric unit, been homeless, and/or struggled with problems with alcohol/substances, etc.); Commitment to undoing racism, sexism, and other systemic oppression; Willingness and ability to be available for more hours on occasion to complete required core trainings (travel to the Holyoke area for trainings may also be required)

A Plus: Knowledge of local resources; Knowledge of peer support and related movements.; Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices, Alternatives to Suicide training, and other related trainings. $13 to 15.50 per hour depending on training and bilingual abilities.
