Latinx Community Connector, 20 hrs per week: Responsibilities will include a statewide focus on outreach, bridge building, and involvement of the voice of people of Hispanic or Latin heritage who have also faced emotional distress, trauma, problems with substances, and/or other life-interrupting challenges in public policy development and more. This role will include at least some support group facilitation, individual support, event planning, working with legislators and others involved in public policy, and more. The pay range for this role is $19.50 to $20.50 per hour based on experience and completion of core trainings. For the right candidate, there is potential for this to be combined with the Director position to make a full-time role.

Requirements: Given the peer-to-peer nature of our work, the Latinx Community Connector must be of Latin or Hispanic heritage, and must also be bilingual (English/Spanish). They must also identify as having first-hand experience with trauma, psychiatric diagnosis, extreme states, problems with substances, homelessness, and/or other life-interrupting challenges, as well as being committed to raising awareness of and interrupting racism, sexism, ableism, heterosexism, transphobia and other forms of systemic oppression. Access to a car you are able to use for work is also required.

Preferred: Some experience with peer support, group and/or training facilitation, public speaking, as well as community organizing experience are preferred. Understanding of and experience with community organizing highly desirable.

A Plus: Translation experience a huge plus.  Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices, Anti-Oppression, Anti-oppression, and/or Alternatives to Suicide training are a plus.
