Vibra Coordinator, 13 hours part-time. Based in Vibra Hospital (Springfield). This role will include direct peer-to-peer support, group facilitation, assistance with finding resources, and support planning for and navigating a return to the community. It will additionally include meeting with unit administrators to review contract responsibilities, and supervision of community bridgers working on site. $16 to $18 per hour (dependent upon completion of core trainings and bilingual/bicultural abilities/status)

Required: First-hand experience with psychiatric diagnosis (you yourself being given a diagnosis), homelessness (you yourself living without a home), problems with substances (you yourself struggling with addiction or problems with substances), and/or other life-interrupting challenges. A commitment to raising awareness of and undoing racism, transphobia, ableism, psychiatric oppression and other forms of systemic oppression is also required. Ability to navigate a challenging clinical environment effectively while still serving as a change agent is essential.

Preferred/A Plus: Experience having been previously hospitalized on a psychiatric unit is strongly preferred. Also a plus: Experience having been incarcerated in jail; Knowledge of local resources; Knowledge of peer support and related movements; Bilingual/bicultural (bilingual in Spanish/English or ASL/English); Intentional Peer Support, Alternatives to Suicide, Hearing Voices, and/or other peer support trainings.
