The Consortium has an exciting leadership opportunity at the Salasin Project in Greenfield! The Salasin Project (www.salasincenter.org) provides community based, trauma informed, wellness supports to women and families in Franklin County who are healing from the impact of violence, specifically interpersonal, sexual, and/or domestic. Primary responsibilities include leading a dynamic team to offer supports for individuals and families who have experienced interpersonal violence, engage the community in informing the supports, networking with local and state providers, coalition building, staff supervision and budget management.

Qualifications include: This role requires knowledge of the impact of violence on individuals, family and community and the challenges of living in a rural setting. Additionally, a depth of understanding the intersection of poverty, oppression, and the dynamics of social justice in addressing violence and its consequences is critical.

Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience in the understanding trauma, Domestic Violence and its consequences required; relevant Master’s degree preferred. At least three years supervision experience and proven competency in working with persons from diverse backgrounds. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for work related travel as needed.

Position details: The Salasin Director is a member of the Consortium’s Management Team and is a sibling community of four other Consortium communities in greater Franklin County.  This position is salaried with work hours primarily weekdays although some nights and weekend hours on occasion.
