We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant: 20 hours Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Holyoke, $18 per hour.  The Administrative Assistant is responsible for creating conditions for a welcoming environment and meeting the administrative support needs of a non-profit agency committed to social justice. This position serves as the first point of contact in the Consortium’s Holyoke Offices. The primary areas this position is responsible for are: reception, administrative and organizational tasks. The person in this position works with a diverse group of community members, employment stakeholders, candidates and employees; effective communication with multiple players is necessary. A strong ability to prioritize multiple assignments while exercising independent judgment is required to plan and organize a diversified workload as well as having a high degree of adaptability, professionalism and confidentiality.

Specific responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include: Answering phone, greeting visitors to our Holyoke offices including employees; data entry and retrieval, maintaining filing systems, taking and tracking inventory, organizing, stocking and cleaning agency spaces.

Requirements: Intermediate Microsoft Office experience with emphasis in Outlook and Microsoft Excel. Administrative skills with experience working in an office, including familiarity with mail merges and bulk mailings preferred; able to lift at least 25 pounds. Competent and demonstrated commitment to social justice. Highly customer service and detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all privacy of information laws. Effective and professional written and oral communication; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
