Per Diem Advocate position/s based in The Wildflower Alliance’s Springfield and Holyoke Centers:

Offer peer-to-peer support, group facilitation, assistance with finding resources, and more in the Wildflower Alliance’s Holyoke and Springfield Centers.

Compensation $14.25 to $15.25 per hour (depending on bilingual abilities).

This is an on-call/as needed position with no permanent schedule or guarantee of hours.

REQUIREMENTS: A commitment to raising awareness of and undoing racism, anti-transness, ableism, psychiatric oppression and other forms of systemic oppression is required. Candidates must also have first-hand experience with one or more of the following:

  • Psychiatric diagnosis (you yourself being diagnosed)
  • Trauma (you yourself experiencing trauma)
  • Homelessness (you yourself living without a home)
  • Problems with substances (you yourself struggling with addiction, problems with substances, etc.)

The successful candidate will also be fully familiar with e-mailing, web searching, and the use of on-line meeting platforms.

Preferred/A Plus: Knowledge of local resources; Knowledge of peer support and related movements. Bilingual/bicultural (bilingual in Spanish/English or ASL/English) a big plus. Intentional Peer Support, Alternatives to Suicide, Hearing Voices, and/or other peer support trainings.
