Full-time, 40 per week (exempt), Annual Salary: $62,400.00

 

The  Consortium is hiring for a Full-Time Assistant Director-Residential. This position is a salaried full-time in-person position working from our offices in downtown Holyoke. The position reports to the Assistant Program Director/Program Director of Home & Community Connections.

Responsibilities: The Assistant Director-Residential Support is responsible for the operation of a portion of the Home & Community Connections program; has responsibility for up to 20 people living in a variety of residential settings; and is responsible for program development and management within the program assignment. The Assistant Director role leads in creating conditions to actively work towards creating conditions for community where everyone experiences a sense of belonging. The Assistant Director is responsible for the oversight of all health and safety needs of individuals supported.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or education required. Professional experience may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Minimum of four years’ experience with individuals with disabilities or other human service fields
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Intellectual disability experience desirable
  • Residential services experience preferred
  • A variety of life experiences that can demonstrably enhance sensitivity to issues of persons with disabilities
  • Must have a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License, three years of positive driving history, and reliable transportation
  • A basic competency in computer skills which include navigating Windows-based programs and the internet.
  • Lifting requirements: Ability to safely lift 25 pounds is required.

 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Assistant Directors-Residential are required to be MAP, CPR, and First Aid Certified.

 

Additional Training Requirements: Assistant Director-Residential are required to complete Communication Enhancement Series, Basic Human Rights and Human Rights Systems; Agency Orientation, Formal Fire Safety, Sexuality & Relationships, Ethics of Touch, Bloodborne Pathogens, HIV/AIDS, Vitals, DPPC, Signs & Symptoms of Illness, and Trauma Sensitive Practice. Additional training is required based on individual or site-specific needs.

 

Work Schedule: Full-time, salaried (exempt) position including on-call, evening, and direct care responsibilities.
